This English role play will help ESL students make hotel reservations.

Scenario one – Reserving a Room
Receptionist: Good afternoon. How can I help you?
Guest: Hi! I’d like to make a reservation.
Receptionist: For when?
Guest: The 10th of January.
Receptionist: For how many people?
Guest: 2.
Receptionist: For how many nights?
Guest: For 4 nights.
Receptionist: What is your name?
Guest: My name is _____________________
Receptionist: Okay, I’ve reserved the room for you on the 10th of January for 2 people staying for 4 nights.
Guest: Thank you very much. Goodbye!

Scenario Two – Fully booked
Receptionist: Good afternoon. How can I help you?
Guest: Hi! I’d like to make a reservation.
Receptionist: For when?
Guest: The 10th of January.
Receptionist: I’m sorry; we’re fully booked on the 10th.
Guest: Okay. Thanks for your help anyway. Good bye.
