English (ESL) Role Play – At The Train Station Reserving a Seat

Scenario: Reserving a seat

Customer: I’d like a ticket to London please.

Sales Person: Okay, when for?

Customer: Saturday the 3rd of March.

Sales Person: One-way or return?

Customer: One-way, please.

Sales Person: For how many people?

Customer: Just 1.

Sales Person: Smoking or non-smoking?

Customer: Non-smoking.

Sales Person: 1st or 2nd class?

Customer: 2nd class, please.

Sales Person: What time would you like to go?

Customer: In the morning, around 11 o’clock.

Sales Person: Is 11:15am okay?

Customer: That’s fine.

Sales Person: Okay, that will be £52. How would you like to pay, cash or credit card?

Customer: Credit card.

Sales Person: Please can you enter your pin.

Customer enters pin

Sales Person: Thank you very much. Here is your one-way ticket to London on the 3rd of March at 11:15am.

Customer: Thanks.
